Opening Graffle Images In Word For Mac
I've had similar issues across both Windows (PowerPoint) and Sun (FrameMaker). I've found that copying and pasting isn't the best way to do it. You might try doing what I do and export to PDF then import the PDF files into those documents. That usually fixes the issues for me. I have same problem with PowerPoint files sent to Windows users. This is a big problem for me.

If you are using Word v.X or 2004, then try this: Don't even think of copy and paste.

Export from OmniGraffle as PDF or TIFF (You may need to experiment, Word is very flaky with cross platform illustrations) In Word, choose insert-picture-from file. You might get those to transfer to PC, but note that even though Graffle exported PDF as Vector art, Word will convert it to raster, even before it leaves your Mac. You might do better exporting the Graffle as eps. It will live through Word as vector to a postscript printer, but will appear in the Word doc on screen as raster again. If you want a good looking mail-able to PC vector image, print the Word doc to PDF as Postscript, then get preview.app to convert it to PDF.

The Word doc with the eps may live all the way to the PC, but do check the phase of the moon. Don't resize your image inside Word. That is guaranteed to rasterise it horribly when you least expect it, and probably cause your beautiful art to appear on a PC as a box with a red X in it.

If all else fails, fall back to exporting tiff raster images, but make sure you re-size it outside Word if you have to. 300dpi is good. Some Word versions go all gooey if you hand them 600dpi. Word has serious phase of moon dependencies when it comes to illustrations. At the summer solstice you have no chance unless you are prepared to sacrifice a goat.
