Broadcom Netlink Gigabit Ethernet Pci Controller

I upgraded from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10. Since then, my LAN connection consistently stops functioning. I'll get a yellow bang on the LAN icon, and I will be unable to browse the internet or connect to other machines on my local network. This happens inside five minutes or sometimes stays up for an hour or so but has gone down at least seven times this morning. Nothing I can see correlates in app/sys logs. IPconfig renew behaves as if the media is disconnected.

I have other computers on my home network that use the same dhcp server provided by ATT, so I know it's not a problem with my ISP. If I run the built in Windows network troubleshooter, it completely disables my LAN connection (red X), and the connection will stay disabled even when I right-click to enable it. The only way to get the lan adapter back is to reboot. Wish I had found this thread when I first installed Windows 10! Thank you, are you able to tell me how to install the driver after I download and extract the files? I right-clicked on one of the files and there was an option that says Install. Is that what I'm doing? I will do my best to explain the driver update process.

The extracted driver folder should be named WinB57x64v17.2.0.0 This folder should contain the following three files: b57nd60a.cat b57nd60a.inf b57nd60a.sys Make note of where this folder is located so you can point Windows 10 to it when updating the driver. Now we need to get to your device manager. From the Search Box on your Task Bar you can type in Device Manager and press the Enter Key or from within your Control Panel you can double left mouse click the Device Manager icon or from your desktop you can right mouse click the This PC icon and select Properties from the drop down menu. You will now have a window that says Browse for driver software on your computer.

At the bottom of this screen select Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer. You will now have a window that says Select the device driver you want to install for this hardware. At the bottom right hand corner of this windows left mouse click the Have Disk. You will now see a Install From Disk window.

At the bottom right select the Browse. Button and point it to the folder WinB57x64v17.2.0.0.

This startup option that I am referring to was not the regular hold down the option key and see the startup disks but more like a software or boot loader on the computer. The iMacs had an option on the screen for guest to choose whether they want to use Mac OS X or Windows XP. Quest loader aqw for mac. I stayed at a hotel in San Francisco and in their lobby were two iMacs for the guests to use, which I thought was definitely different but cool.

Now double left click the file within this folder called b57nd60a This will take you back to the Install from disk window, left click the OK button. You will now be at the Select the driver you want to install for this hardware window with a list of Model entries beginning with 3Com Dual Port 10/100/1000 PCI-X Server NIC. You may now see a Update Driver Warning window, left click the Yes button to continue installing the driver. If all goes well you should now see Windows has successfully updated your driver software, click the Close button on the bottom right corner of this window. Since installing this driver I've had no issues whatsoever with my network connection in Windows 10.
