Sequencher V5.3 For Mac
Comparing MacVector with Assembler with Sequencher 'Sequencher is not optimized for your Mac' If you use the popular Sequencher sequence assembly program from Genecodes and have recently updated your operating system to MacOS 10.13.4, you may have encountered the following dialog; The root of this problem is that Sequencher 5.4.6 (the latest version for the Mac) is a 32-bit application and is particularly reliant on an ancient 'Carbon' OS 9-compatibility framework that Apple has been telling developers for many years will be phased out in the near future. It appears that day is finally arriving and this warning dialog is the first indication that Apple will shortly make good on that promise. It is highly likely that Sequencher will be unable to run on one of the macOS releases in the next year or so.
MacVector with Assembler has been fully 64-bit for many years (since MacVector 13) and has no dependency on the 'Carbon' framework. It provides almost all of the functionality of Sequencher within an updated modern interface, along with a host of additional functionality and integration with all of the DNA analysis tools within the core MacVector application. One of the app's immediate advantages over alternatives is that you can choose Dropbox sync on a per-database basis and add encryption (with a passphrase) on top. In the Location Sync settings, you can even select whether DEVONthink should always keep a downloaded copy of your files or if it should only download them on-demand and discard them once you're done viewing them.

This upgrade is free to all customers with a valid v5 licence key. We recommend that you back-up any important plan files before installing any new release. The download links are at the bottom of the page. Backward/forward compatibility This version can read plan (.tp) files saved by any earlier version of PerfectTablePlan. But reading v5.3.4 plans into versions of the software before v5.3.1 may lose some data. Improvements All editions Windows and Mac 1. V5.3.1 to v5.3.3 are slow at deleting large numbers of guests.
This is now fixed. Previously new plans defaulted to meters.
The default units for new plans are now set according to your windows/Mac system locale, e.g. To feet if your locale is set the USA. You can change the units for a plan in the Dimensions window. When guests are dropped onto seats in the Floor Plan or Table Plan panes, the seats dropped on to are now highlighted after the drop as an additional visual cue. Sequencher V5.3 For Mac
There is now a Scale Background Image feature to help you scale background images correctly. It allows you to mark a feature on the background image and specify how big it should be. The background image is then scaled appropriately. For a short video of this feature in action.
Custom fields hidden in the Guests and Groups pane in v5.2.3 or earlier sometimes cannot he unhidden in v5.3.1 to v5.3.3. This is now fixed. If any inconsistencies were discovered during import of proximity, seating or custom fields data the user was given the option to Cancel or Continue.
Clicking Cancel imported the guests, but did not show them. This is now fixed.
